Exploring the vast frozen terrain of the Hebra region in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom leads players to many hidden challenges. Among these points of interest is the Wao-os Shrine, a physics-based puzzle chamber that tests your mastery over momentum and trajectory. Locating this hidden sanctuary and understanding its core mechanics ensures a smooth journey toward collecting your Light of Blessing.

Finding the Wao-os Shrine Location

The Wao-os Shrine is cleverly tucked away inside the West Lake Totori Cave within the Hebra surface map. To reach this area efficiently, fast travel to the Rospro Pass Skyview Tower and launch yourself into the air. Glide southwest toward the cliffside near Lake Totori until you spot an alcove leading into the cavern system.

Once inside the West Lake Totori Cave, follow the direct path forward until the shrine structure comes into clear view. The cavern pathway contains no hostile encounters, making the trek straight to the entrance simple and quick. Marking these exact cave coordinates on your purah pad helps prevent getting lost in heavy snowfall.

Solving the First Lever Power Target

Upon entering the shrine, you are presented with a central lever mechanism, a small bowl, a sphere, and a heavy metal block. Use Ultrahand to attach the bowl near the front end of the lever and place the orb securely inside. Position the heavy metal cube high above the opposite end of the lever board using Ultrahand.

Release the metal block from its maximum height so it slams onto the lever platform. The resulting downward force launches the orb forward into the large bullseye target mounted on the wall. Striking this target unlocks a side gate that reveals a long wooden plank necessary for the next phase.

Hitting the Distant Target and Reaching the Chest

To reach the second target located further back in the chamber, attach the newly acquired wooden plank to extend the length of the lever. Reattach the launching bowl to the far edge of the extended plank and place the sphere back into it. Drop the heavy cube onto the lever once again to catapult the ball far enough to hit the secondary target.

After both targets are activated, stand directly inside the launcher bowl yourself to reach the upper ledges. Drop the block on the lever to send Link soaring into the air toward the exit ledge. While airborne, deploy your paraglider to carefully maneuver over to a high side platform that holds the shrine chest.

Alternative Solutions and Handy Shortcuts

If timing the heavy block drop proves frustrating, clever players can utilize alternate tactics to bypass the catapult puzzle entirely. Firing bomb arrows directly at both wall targets triggers their activation mechanisms instantly. This shortcut saves time and lets you jump straight to launching Link up toward the shrine altar.

Whether you choose to master the lever apparatus or use quick explosive arrows, completing the Wao-os Shrine yields valuable rewards. Taking the time to clear every shrine in Hebra strengthens Link's stamina and heart containers for the journeys ahead.
